Examination Policy

At BIT Global School, our examination policy ensures a fair, transparent, and stress-free assessment system. We emphasize continuous evaluation, integrity, and academic growth. Our structured guidelines help students perform to their best potential while fostering discipline and a strong work ethic. Detailed policies and procedures are outlined below.



Academic year has two terms

First Term (April to September)

Second Term (October to March)

Classes I to V

PERIODIC TEST-I (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of MAY

PERIODIC TEST-II (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of AUGUST

Half yearly examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of September/October

PERIODIC TEST-III (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of DECEMBER

Annual examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of February/March

Classes VI to VIII

Type of assessment (Term 1)

PERIODIC TEST-I (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of MAY

PERIODIC TEST-II (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of AUGUST

Half yearly examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of September/October

PERIODIC TEST-III (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of DECEMBER

Annual examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of February/March

Classes IX

PERIODIC TEST-I (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of MAY

PERIODIC TEST-II (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of AUGUST

Half yearly examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of September/October

PERIODIC TEST-III (Pen paper test) M.M. 40 in the month of DECEMBER

Annual examination (Pen paper test + notebook + subject enrichment) M.M. 80 in the month of February/March

Classes IX

Type of assessment for classes IX and XI

There will be two cycles of unit tests, half yearly and annual examination including components like projects, practical and internal assessment.

Class XI

Type of assessment for classes X and XII

  • There will be unit tests, half yearly exam, practice papers and pre board examinations including components like projects, practical and internal assessment.
  • Promotion Policy
  • Criteria for promotion to the next class (I to VIII)
  • Students must secure 33% marks in written examination.
  • The performance of the whole year to be taken into account for each subject.
  • No test will be re-scheduled for the absentees.
  • Criteria for promotion to the next class (IX and XI)
  • Students must secure 33% marks in the written test/examination.
  • The performance of the whole Year to be taken into account for each subject.
  • Students must pass separately in projects, practical and assignments.
  • Attendance of the students in school should not be below 75% of the total working days.
